Dedicated to Innovation and Excellence
Histocompatibility, Immunogenetics, & Disease Profiling Laboratory, Stanford University School of Medicine
The Histocompatibility, Immunogenetics, & Disease Profiling Laboratory supports 10 adult/pediatric renal, thoracic, and BM/HSCT transplant programs. They’re dedicated to innovation and have developed novel antibody (C1q) and crossmatch (DSA-Flow) tests that significantly alter and improve the assessment of pre- and post-transplant donor specific compatibility and response to therapy. The Lab also provides expert search consultation for exceptionally difficult to match BM/HSCT candidates. As organizers of the 17th International Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics Workshop, the Lab is also leading a global effort to use Next Generation Sequencing for complete HLA genomic sequencing of 10,000 quartet families to identify regulatory regions, immunogenic epitopes, and phased SNPs.
