Research Institute for Photon Science and Laser Technology (UTripl) at the University of Tokyo, is part of a national joint research program to create visions and innovations that can help realize a “Super Smart Society” (Society 5.0), a society where cyber space and the real world (physical space) are intricately connected. UTripl will undertake the STELLA (Science and Theory Enabling Intelligent Laser Manufacturing) Project, which promotes the development of CPS (Cyber Physical System) laser manufacturing capable of proposing the optical processing parameters using artificial intelligence and the science and theory of laser-matter interaction.
