The CATT Lab combines trillions of data points in real time every day to generate actionable information for transportation operators, planners, emergency managers, and public safety to make better decisions that impact millions of people across the United States.
The CATT Lab discovers new insights by combining data from sensors, GPS probes, connected vehicles, crowd-sourced applications, radio, satellites, and video to solve every day transportation problems: reducing the number of incidents, their impacts, and duration, reducing congestion, increasing throughput, protecting infrastructure from damage caused by elements and use. Staffed by some of the brightest minds in the world of software development, information visualization, and transportation operations, the CATT Lab utilizes latest technologies to evaluate current conditions and understand potential impacts to better advise and assist transportation professionals and traveling public.
