Biophysical Society TV in partnership with The Biophysical Society debuted at the 2014 annual meeting in San Fransisco.
Along with highlights from the event and interviews with key speakers, we produced films for organizations working in the field of biophysics highlighting the great work that is being done both nationally and internationally.
The BioMEMS Resource Center (BMRC) focuses on foundational and translational work at the interface of micro- and nano-systems engineering, life sciences, and clinical medicine. BMRC emphasizes innovative technologies to enable “cell-based” nanotechnology and microfluidics. These emerging “living cell-based devices” are expected to become critical technologies in the 21st century of medicine with a broad range of applications varying from diagnostics, therapeutics, drug screening, and toxicology, as well as basic and applied cell biology tools. BMRC extensively benefits from the environment at Massachusetts General Hospital with outstanding intellectual know-how in clinical medicine, and life sciences. BMRC has also been very proactive in engaging companies, foundries, and spinoffs to expand its capabilities and to disseminate its tools.
