Advancing the Engineering of Systems for the 21st Century
"Stevens Institute of Technology is a premier, technology focused research university located in Hoboken, NJ, overlooking Manhattan.
The Steven’s School of Systems & Enterprises (SSE) is the only school in the nation focused on Systems. SSE is preparing students with advanced skills to design and implement increasingly complex systems. Unique integration of systems engineering and software engineering to design systems of the future.
SSE students and faculty work on some of the most challenging problems of the 21stcentury including, designing and modelling complex cyber-physical systems, designing solutions for urban resilience, and improving health care delivery.
SSE creates technical leaders who see the ‘big picture’ in problem and opportunity spaces across a wide range of industries and government sectors.
SSE’s educational programs are well regarded; with industry and government sponsors that include LMCO, Northrup Grumman, Rockwell Collins, L3, Accenture, United Technologies and General Dynamics.
Stevens and SSE are the home of the Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC) that is celebrating 10 years of advances in systems in support of the U.S. Department of Defense.
SERC is the only government sponsored UARC focused on Systems in the nation.
Stevens and SSE 'wrote the book’ on Systems Engineering education thru its leadership of the BKCSE program (created Body of Knowledge and Graduate Reference Curricula). The SEBoK reference body has viewed over 1 million times.
SSE graduates are in demand. Students have access to Interesting job opportunities."
