The Northwest Center for Occupational Health & Safety
The University of Washington School of Public Health Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences provides unique training opportunities through resources provided by the NWCOHS. These “ERC trainees” come to the UW to study dynamic, interesting and emerging occupational health issues and have the opportunity to work in areas, and with researchers that meet a host of regional needs.
The NWCOHS training and research is designed to provide trainees with newly acquired skills and knowledge on injury prevention and surveillance systems, medical treatment and case management, and exposure assessment technologies to maintain safe and healthful workplaces in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
