Postpartum Depression at Allegheny Health Network
Striving to create the safest place for new moms in the U.S.
Allegheny Health Network’s Women’s Behavioral Health Center is transforming how postpartum depression is treated with Western Pennsylvania’s only mother-baby intensive outpatient program, and only 1 of 4 in the U.S.
AHN’s program provides a wide range of services, including mood disorder screenings throughout pregnancy and after birth, comprehensive evaluations and treatment plan development, and weekly outpatient therapy sessions. Programs are family-focused and allow women to bring their babies with them to therapy sessions so they can continue to bond.
Behavioral health specialists have received training in pediatrics and adolescent and adult psychiatry.
With the opening of the Alexis Joy Center for Women’s Behavioral Health in fall of ’18, AHN will be a unique facility, offering the nations’ ONLY and most comprehensive, state-of-the-art care available for women suffering from postpartum depression in one location.
