INL's Modeling & Simulation team brings multiphysics to the masses
Idaho National Laboratory's Nuclear Science & Technology
Modeling and simulation has now become standard practice in nearly every branch of science. Building a useful simulation capability has traditionally been a daunting task because it required a team of software developers working for years with scientists to describe a given phenomenon.
Idaho National Laboratory’s Modeling & Simulation team – part of INL’s Nuclear Science & Technology directorate, developed a new suite of applications based on their MOOSE framework. MOOSE stands for Multiphysics Object-Oriented Simulation Environment, and it helps make modeling and simulation more accessible to a broad array of scientists.
