The street right-of-way is being managed to increase person-capacity and transportation choices. The streetscape is being transformed to include space for dedicated bike lanes, streetcars, bus rapid transit, ride services, freight and rail.
Seattle is creating a forward-looking set of innovative, technology-driven solutions that draw on the full menu of mobility options. At the center of this approach is data - data to manage the multiple modes of traffic in real-time, data to detect and respond to incidents, data to create a mobility-as-a-service application, data to move connected and automated vehicles forward.
