The theme of the conference was Building Community: Rising to Seize the Opportunities. The conference offers the chance for local government professionals to network, share innovative practices, and provides opportunities for education and learning from best practice from around the country. Using Partnerships to Strengthen Cedar Hill

Cedar Hill has been pioneering the concept of partnerships for more than 20 years. A state of the art animal shelter, shared fire and rescue services…a water storage system…Just a few examples of partnerships Cedar Hill has with neighboring cities. But it also has partnerships within the city. The best example may be its new City Government Center which houses both municipal services and its school district headquarters. It is a one-of-a-kind arrangement in the state of Texas.
