Andoya Spaceport

A new European launch facility for small satellites.

The And°ya Spaceport is a proposed new launch facility for small satellites. With a worlwide shortage of launch capacity for small satellites, Europe needs a place to send its own satellites in to space. And°ya, in the north Norway, has particular, geographical, advantageous features for a new spaceport, including its location in the far North and direct access in to polar orbits. In And°ya, there is existing infrastructure and expertise at the site of the And°ya Space Centre, operational since the 1960s for sounding rockets and providing an excellent location for a commercially viable And°ya Spaceport.
