The strong helps the weak, the healthy stem cell donor helps the seriously ill patient. That is the basis of the work of the Stiftung Aktion Knochenmarkspende Bayern (AKB). Since 1993, the foundation has helped leukemia patients find donors and it is now the third largest donor registry in Germany with almost 310000 potential donors. The AKB is connected to partners worldwide and has sent more than 4000 stem cell preparations to transplantation centers around the world.
