ASCB TV premiered in San Francisco at the 2012 American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) Annual Meeting. ASCB TV was there to cover the issues that emerged at the meeting whether in a workshop, debate or speech and to raise the visibility of the field of cell biology. As well as highlight collaborations between diverse institutions with exclusive reports, produced especially for the conference from research institutions, universities and private sector organizations.

ASCB is an inclusive, international community of biologists studying the cell. Dedicated to advancing scientific discovery, advocating sound research policies, improving education, promoting professional development, and increasing diversity in the scientific workforce.

The Department of Chemical and Systems Biology at Stanford explores the molecular mechanisms that underlie cellular function and contribute to human disease. The department’s laboratories emphasize interdisciplinary research that spans the biomedical sciences. The ultimate goal is translate discoveries into new medical therapies.
