AMO Research at Purdue's Department of Physics and Astronomy
The faculty and students at Purdue’s Department of Physics and Astronomy are exploring nature at all length scales, from the subatomic (quarks and gluons) to the macroscopic (black holes and dark energy), and everything in between (atomic and biological systems). The vibrant and diverse group of researchers have cutting edge facilities on campus but also work internationally, with contributions to the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at CERN. The goal of the department is to continue contributing to the ground-breaking findings in fundamental physics that they are so well known for.
