Building Healthier Communities through Collaborations

University of Kentucky's School of Human Environmental Sciences' unique structure containing three departments as well as the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension program along with being located in land grant university gives the school a distinct advantage for addressing issues from a multidisciplinary, multi-approach perspective. The School and its members are involved in numerous collaborations to improve the quality of life of communities, families, and individuals throughout the state of Kentucky. Clinton County is just one example of how the Extension program works to build community synergy through grant funded programs to enhance Kentuckians' health, diet, physical activity, and quality of life.
