Frank Riddick Diabetes Institute at Ochsner Health System
Improving the Future for Those with Diabetes
System serves patients with or at risk for diabetes by providing state of the art diabetes care. The Institute also provides innovative research contributing to the development of new diabetes treatments, education and health care delivery systems. This film focuses on the Frank Riddick Diabetes Institute's inpatient and outpatient care activities, efforts in population medicine including a novel Diabetes Digital Medicine Program, and providing education about diabetes to both health care professionals and patients as well as clinical research being conducted at its Ochsner Diabetes Clinical Research Unit.

The Frank Riddick Diabetes Institute is named after the late Dr. Frank Riddick Jr. He was Head of Ochsner’s Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine and also served as CEO of the Ochsner Clinic Foundation. He was a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and the Board of Governors of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Riddick was a former president of the American College of Physician Executives, the American Group Practice Association and the Society of Medical Administrators. He was also a master of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology and a distinguished fellow of the American College of Physician Executives.
