    ASA TV is here!

    This week in Washington, DC, WebsEdge is pleased to launch our new Conference TV channel - ASA TV, in partnership with the American Society on Aging (ASA). ASA TV will be a daily TV show screened at the ASA’s annual conference . WebsEdge has produced seven films for organisations working the field which will be premiered at the event. They are:

    We’re excited this week as USCAP-TV launches in Vancouver at the annual USCAP conference (The United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology).

    The USCAP annual conference is the largest meeting of physician-pathologists in the world. It’s a fitting time to launch the TV channel this year as they begin their second century of annual events – this is their impressive 101st conference!

    ADI2012 TV arrives i...

    London, England. This week, WebsEdge is producing ADI2012 TV for the Alzheimer's Disease International conference, our second outing at the event following a successful debut in Toronto last year.

    Once again, ADI2012 TV will raise the visibility of the hard work of organisations in the field and provides an opportunity for the dementia community to learn about research initiatives, best practice in care and programmes to improve the quality of life of carers and people living with dementia.

    WebsEdge is once more producing Historians TV for the 2012 American Historical Association’s 126th Annual Meeting. This is our fourth year producing a TV channel for this event and it has become a highlight of our yearly schedule. We will be screening a new episode each and every day of the conference. Delegates can watch around the conference hotels in Chicago and in selected hotel rooms, as well as online here.

    As always, we have been busy travelling the US to produce some excellent films to excite and inform meeting attendees.     JMM TV KICKS OFF 201...

    Our first Conference TV project of 2012 is producing JMM TV for the Joint Mathematics Meeting in Boston, from 4-7 January. This event is the largest maths meeting in the world and jointly hosted by the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America. This is our second math themed event, after launching ICIAM TV in Canada last year.

    This year we have made films for a variety for organizations like: The University of Manitoba, Benedictine University, Wilfred Laurier University, Ohio State University, Smith College, Drexel University, and the University of California at Riverside.

    Following a successful launch in Denver last year, WebsEdge is once more producing Social Studies TV for the 2011 National Council of Social Studies (NCSS) conference - the biggest, most comprehensive social studies professional development conference in the USA. Social Studies TV will be screening a new episode each and every day of the conference. Delegates can watch around the Walter E. Convention Center in Washington D.C. and in selected hotel rooms, as well as online here.

    This week, WebsEdge is back in Montreal producing Global Health TV for the 2011 Global Health Conference. This unique event is presented by the Canadian Society for International Health, the Consortium of Universities for Global Health and the Global Health Education Consortium.

    Global Health TV will be screening a new episode each and every day of the conference. Delegates can watch around the Hilton Bonaventure and in their hotel room, as well as online here at www.globalhealthtv.com.

    At the event, we’ll be screening a featured film from the Children’s Global Health Initiative (CGHI). To produce the film, we traveled to Phu Tho in Northern Vietnam to take a look at a new study by the CGHI to improve nutrition for pregnant women by providing them with locally made, high protein food supplements.

    WebsEdge/Government is in Edinburgh this week for the newly revamped SOLACE Summit 2011. SOLACE has decided to do things differently this year and are holding what some have coined an ‘un-conference’. They are hosting five work-streams which are running in parallel and will address some of the key issues facing local government today. Each work-stream is designed to encourage debate and generate ideas and suggestions for the future of local government in the UK.

    As always, WebsEdge/Government is at the heart of the action and will be producing SOLACE TV at the event. SOLACE TV will be a mix of interviews and coverage of the Summit keeping participants informed about how each workstream is developing.

    IAFCTV.com is an online resource providing in-depth video content focusing on the latest developments, trends and issues in today’s fire and emergency services, In addition, IAFC TV will include interviews and presentations with IAFC leadership, government officials and other well-known and respected voices.

    The IAFC TV website will have videos, podcasts, news and coverage of events.

    In addition to the website, IAFC TV will offer year-round training and programmatic content. We will also cover major IAFC meetings and events, including Fire-Rescue International (FRI) 2011 in Atlanta, August 23-27. This will include producing a daily TV show for FRI attendees with thought leadership pieces from various fire and rescue related organizations and footage from the key events at FRI.

    WebsEdge has won two Bronze Telly Awards in recognition of our excellent work across the globe. Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films.

    Our winning films are… The Salem Police Department film entitled, “Helping the Victims of Domestic Violence”, which we made for the International Association of the Chiefs of Police conference. This film was awarded bronze in the Internet/Online Programs, Segments, or Promotional Pieces - Social Issues category.
