WebsEdge was in Chicago as the official broadcaster at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting and Exposition, for the 2nd APHA TV.
Held on October 31 to November 4 2015, more than 13,000 public health professionals attended the annual meeting at McCormick Place to discuss the impact that all policies have on health.
APHA TV covered some of the major discussions at APHA 2015, including how; gun violence, climate change, transportation, communication and education impact health outcomes.
We spoke with the meeting’s key speakers including APHA President Shiriki Kumanyika about their message to the attendees. See what Shiriki Kumanyika had to say in our interview below about the new Generation Public Health movement.
Keeping on pulse of the meeting, APHA TV went out on the convention center floor to hear from attendees about what inspired them to work in public health and the challenges ahead.
As well as capturing the conference highlights, we showcased institutions and community programs changing public health across the United States of America. Find out more about their contributions below on APHA TV.
APHA TV was screened around the convention center and on dedicated TV channels at local hotels; (Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hilton Chicago and the Fairmont) and we joined the discussion on twitter via @WebsEdge_Health & #APHA15.
